This catnip, a member of the mint family, is then dried, and packed in an airtight George tin with a see-through top so you always know when you are running low. The one-ounce tin sells for $8.
Catnip induces feelings of euphoria in about 80 percent of cats over the age of three months old, prompting much purring, rubbing and rolling around. And not only does catnip not cause the munchies, it is also thought to aid digestion.
If only humans were so lucky.
